Gacy met McCoy at a bus terminal in Chicago while McCoy was returning home after a Christmas celebration with friends in Michigan. His body was discovered along with many other victims of Gacy in December 1978 after the police executed a search warrant for Gacy’s house as part of the investigation into the whereabouts of Robert Piest, Gacy’s last victim.
