J.F.K. Assassination

Movements of Lee Harvey Oswald after the assassination of President Kennedy

On November 22, 1963, shortly after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, Police Officer J.D. Tippit (Pictured Below) was shot and killed in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas. Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with the murder of Officer Tippit, however, Oswald was never able to stand trial for the murder of Officer Tippit, as he was himself shot and killed by Jack Ruby two days after being arrested. The exact motive for the murder of Officer Tippit remains unclear, but it is believed that Oswald was attempting to evade capture by the police.
