I was Sarah (Cox) Owens’ friend and so was my daughter. It has always angered us that it seemed like the OSBI never really tried to find her killer. I emailed the cold decade unit in 2004, I think, and couldn’t tell me anything. I’ve always wondered if they ever took any dna. They should have found some and if they would only send it off to be analyzed it would tell them who killed her! I’m glad her kids are adults. Maybe they will be more insistent to the police! Don’t give up, kids! The answer is out there.
