NYC, also known as Downtown Oklahoma City.

Kate is working at her new job for the National Weather Service in NYC. The building that is used for this location is Corporate Tower in downtown OKC. There are no external pictures of this building in the movie.

After reuniting, Kate and Javi take a walk on the street. Kate tells Javi how much she loves New York City and how friendly the people are before almost getting hit by a cab and being yelled at by the driver.

Once Kate and Javi have finished crossing the road they enter the Gilded Acorn cafe.

About this location

Very easy to locate and is right off the side of a main road. At the time of visiting it seemed like the building was up for sale and very run down. This is one of those locations that you are not quite sure how much longer it will be around for.

Kate panics at the last minute and stops the truck abruptly.

Javi realizes that they are not close enough to the storm for their equipment to work.

After successfully driving into the tornado, Tyler and Boone celebrate while a terrified Ben falls to the ground.

This was one of the most difficult locations to track down. We noticed some numbers on the back of a stop sign from a screen grab, but the fun part was figuring out what they all meant. This location is very easy to park at and shouldn't be a problem for anyone who wants to visit.

This was a great location to visit and the people inside were wonderful, especially when we asked permission to take some pictures. I did't get pictures of the kitchen but you can clearly see the same grill, the bathroom is easily identifiable (a lot cleaner), and the table where Scott, Javi, Riggs, and Kate were is pretty much the same.

If anyone from the truck stop reads this you should consider adding a picture location and selling some Twisters merchandise.

PublicOff The Beaten Path Film Scene

This was without a doubt the most difficult location to find because there was very little to go by other than a very blurred sign in the movie. What can I say, lots and lots of red dirt, that turned was nothing other than a huge mess. I would recommend not taking a white Dodge Challenger out on these roads, and if you plan to get out of the car make sure to have some old boots with you.

Hotel, Rodeo, and a Twister

Tyler brings Kate a pizza to her hotel room.

Google Street View image from shortly before filming. If it wasn’t for this image I would have had a difficult time believing that they built a new office, added a pool, and built most of the building that is missing. It’s no wonder we couldn’t find room 132.

Kate and Tyler make the short trip across the street to visit the local Rodeo.

The entire Rodeo was built by the crew and dismantled after filming.

The second part of the action takes place in El Reno and was filmed in the historic downtown area. It is there that Kate and Tyler (later joined by Javi) try to help evacuate people from the town.

Tyler attempts to get locals to seek shelter.

Locals seek shelter in a local theater.

Kate and Tyler stand and look at the F5 tornado that is approaching.

As the tornado gets closer to El Reno one of the local citizens gets thrown up in the air and slammed into the ground.

As things start to get really crazy a streetcar comes crashing down the street and one of the passengers jumps out. Does anyone know if he survived?
