In 1992, Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Tulsa, Oklahoma, became the grim backdrop for a chilling homicide that shook the city to its core. The tranquility of a typical day at the restaurant was shattered when four employees, whose names have been lost to time, were brutally slain during their evening shift.
FROZEN IN FEAR

Late one night, a group of robbers forced four employees of a fast-food restaurant into a walk-in refrigerator, where they were compelled to kneel before being fatally shot in the head.
The tragic incident unfolded at Lee’s Famous Recipe Country Chicken on Tulsa’s East Side, with the victims discovered after the restaurant’s closing hours by a friend of one of the workers. Tragically, three of the employees were already deceased, while the fourth succumbed to their injuries later at a hospital.

Donald Eugene Daniels, a 21-year-old former employee of the restaurant, was apprehended by police and charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of armed robbery. Additionally, law enforcement authorities announced the identification of several other suspects in connection with the crime.
Mr. Daniels was taken into custody at his residence during one of several raids conducted by police. The raids were initiated after the license plate number of the getaway car was traced back, which had been noted by a vigilant security guard working in the vicinity of the restaurant.
